Non-Profit Financial Audits

Combining the Utmost in Independence with a History of Service
You have legal responsibilities that require the help of a top-notch auditor. We have the experience with non-profit organizations (NPOs) and proven skills to meet your needs. We focus on middle-market clients, so you'll get the time and attention to detail you deserve, unlike with an auditor who caters to large clients.

The audit of your financial statements under Government Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards is designed to provide assurance that the financial statements are fairly presented. This assurance is necessary for officials, managers, regulators or others having oversight responsibility, funding sources, public interest groups and citizens.

Our Approach
Our audits are built on the professional standards developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. We tailor our audit to fit your individual circumstances, including compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.

Auditor independence is vital to the users of audited financial statements. We actively enforce both professional and internal standards of independence and monitor our activities and relationships to assure that the standards are maintained.

All of our NPO financial statement audits are subject to internal quality control procedures that, at a minimum, include a review of the statements by a qualified professional who is independent of the personnel who actually perform and supervise the audit.

In addition, our quality control procedures are audited internally each year and are subjected to peer review by an independent public accounting firm every third year. The annual internal audit of our quality control procedures and the triennial peer review focus specifically on the procedures we use to audit financial statements in addition to our overall audit procedures and policies.

RSM McGladrey Inc. and McGladrey & Pullen LLP have an alternative practice structure. Though separate and independent legal entities, the two firms work together to serve clients' business needs.
