McGladrey Sells Buffalo, NY Non-Attest Tax and Consulting Assets to Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C.

Freed Maxick joins McGladrey Alliance

BUFFALO, NY – (December 22, 2011) – McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, a leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services under the McGladrey brand, recently announced the sale of its Buffalo, NY non-attest tax and consulting practices to Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C.

Freed Maxick previously operated in an alternative practice structure with RSM McGladrey and will continue to have a relationship with McGladrey as a member of the McGladrey Alliance, a premier affiliation of independent accounting and consulting firms in the United States, with more than 90 members in 42 states and Puerto Rico.

The change was effective December 21, 2011. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
