McGladrey Names O’Malley, Schultz to Washington National Tax Staff
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 16, 2012) McGladrey LLP, the nation’s fifth largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services, recently announced the selection of director Bill O’Malley and partner Chuck Schultz to its Washington National Tax (WNT) staff.
In his new role, O’Malley will lead the compensation and benefits area. He will focus primarily on federal tax and ERISA compliance and planning related to employee benefit plans as well as assisting with employee benefit plan audits. He will be based out of the firm's Peoria, Ill., office.
Schultz will serve as the WNT estate and gift tax leader. He is responsible for estate and gift tax compliance and planning, including foreign and domestic interests. He will also focus on income tax issues related to trusts and estates, business succession planning related to closely held business interests, and valuation issues pertaining to proper gift and estate tax compliance. Schultz will be located in McGladrey’s Chicago office.

O'Malley has more than 30 years of experience in defined benefits and contribution planning, ESOPs, and non-qualified deferred compensation. He was most recently with Verisight, a retirement planning and consulting services company. O'Malley holds a JD from John Marshall Law School and a bachelor of arts from Quincy University.
Schultz has served private and high net worth clients for more than 25 years. Before joining McGladrey, he worked for Big Four accounting firms and Allstate Financial Services. He has a bachelor's and law degree from Loyola University of Chicago.
