McGladrey Names Gary Jenkins Specialty Line Leader – Accounting for Income Taxes

FORT LAUDERDALE (August 22, 2011) – RSM McGladrey, one of the country's leading providers of tax and consulting services under the McGladrey brand, recently named Gary Jenkins to specialty line leader – accounting for income taxes (AIT).

In this role, Jenkins will work with the firm's regional and national tax leaders to develop policies and procedures for the AIT practice area and create a centralized group for knowledge sharing, training and best practices..He will continue to be based out of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office.

Jenkins has more than 20 years of experience providing tax consulting, planning, compliance and controversy services to corporations, partnerships and individuals. During his career, Jenkins has focused on providing tax services to large multi-state, multi-national business operations, and he has served as the tax function lead on many SEC and Fortune 500 engagements. Prior to joining RSM McGladrey, Jenkins was the Florida practice leader for a national accounting firm, and spent several years as a managing director with a Big Four firm where he gained insights into the PCAOB review process, including those focused on income taxes. He has a Masters of Accounting from Nova-Southeastern University and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University.
