McGladrey Announces Changes to Consulting Organization

Experience leaders positioned to help clients succeed

ATLANTA (April 26, 2012) McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, a leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services under the McGladrey brand, recently announced several changes to its consulting organization, positioning experienced leaders to focus on the needs of McGladrey clients and enhance the consulting practice’s ability to grow.

The following changes are effective May 1, 2012:

• Jon Caforio, formerly national leader of technology consulting, has been named national leader of consulting strategic enablement, focusing on strategy, collaboration, infrastructure and business system integration. Caforio will continue as a member of the consulting leadership team. He will work closely with McGladrey’s private equity group (PEG) to help ensure PEG clients have access to the full-suite of consulting capabilities and will be a driving force in aligning consulting initiatives with the firm’s industry and vendor management programs. Additionally, Caforio will foster the continued growth of the McGladrey Delivery Center in India and continue as a thought leader for technology consulting service offerings.

Caforio works out of the firm’s Chicago office. He joined McGladrey in 2011 with more than 17 years of technology consulting experience, covering a broad range of technology and management consulting capabilities. He holds a BS in Mathematics from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Ill.

• Brian Becker, has been named national leader of technology consulting, providing the strategy, vision and strong client focus that will help McGladrey continue to grow its technology consulting practice and enable consulting to meet the expanding technology needs of clients. Becker will work closely with technology leaders across the firm on service line strategy development, execution and overall practice leadership. He will also continue in his role as Central region consulting leader and as a member of the consulting leadership team.

In 2005, Becker, who works out of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, office, received the firm’s highest honor, Partner of the Year, for his consulting practice accomplishments. He is a graduate of McGladrey’s Business Advisor Program, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and holds his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.

• Bob Jacobson, principal in the risk advisory services practice, has been named West region consulting leader, responsible for expanding the consulting practice and ensuring continuous alignment of market-driven skills with the evolving needs of our growing clients in the West. He works out of the Irvine, Calif., office. Jacobson brings demonstrated leadership skills, experience and knowledge of McGladrey to the role and will join the consulting leadership team.

Since joining McGladrey in 2002, Jacobson has held a variety of key leadership positions related to the growth, quality and management of the consulting practice. His experience includes leadership roles at Arthur Andersen and two Fortune 500 companies. Jacobson holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., and has completed post graduate classes in accounting and finance at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
