McGladrey Expands New England International Tax Practice, Names Daniel Berman Leader

BOSTON – (August 3, 2012) – McGladrey LLP, the nation's fifth largest assurance, tax and business consulting firm, recently announced that Dan Berman has joined the firm as a partner in the firm's International Tax practice. In his new role, Berman will oversee New England's International Tax Practice.

Berman's international tax experience includes extensive legislative and tax treaty experience working with the Joint Committee on Taxation and the U.S. Treasury as the deputy international tax counsel. He has 15 years of experience in practice with law firms in Washington D.C., in addition to legislative and industry experience. Berman has been influential in academia, having served as an instructor at Harvard Law School and most recently as the director of the Boston University Law School Graduate Tax Program.

Berman earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in applied mathematics and economics and later attended Harvard Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
