The Washington offices of McGladrey, employing 120 people including 9 partners, bring a strong record of serving midsized and owner-managed firms, as well as individuals. Of particular interest to midsized companies in Washington is the unique nature of the state's business tax structure. With more than 75 years of Department of Revenue experience, McGladrey LLC's State and Local Tax (SALT) team can help you with refund requests (i.e. reverse audits), automated state and local tax compliance, letter rulings and customized multi-state nexus reports. In the last two years, we have filed more than $4 million in refund requests for clients.

Our roots
We became a major player in Washington with our acquisition of Knight Vale & Gregory (KVG) in September 2001. Founded in 1921, KVG was one of the Pacific Northwest's largest accounting and consulting firms.

Our industry and charitable efforts
Every year our employees participate in community and industry organizations like Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Master Builders Association, Association for Corporate Growth, Construction and Financial Management Association, Association of General Contractors, various seafood associations and other industry-specific entities.

In addition, our employees take part in charitable events such as the Jingle Bell Jam, Humane Society Dog-A-Thon, fundraising for Mary Bridge Children?s Hospital and the United Way. Our dedication to the community is evident in our employees' ongoing involvement in organizations like Washington Women's Education and Employment, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA and YWCA.
